Roundup Ready Soybean Seed Products
Since 1996, Delta and Pine Land Company (D&PL) has been selling high quality
soybean seed that contains the Roundup Ready® trait. As of 2006, more than 90% of D&PL-brand soybeans sold can be sprayed over-the-top with Roundup®-brand herbicide. D&PL-brand Roundup Ready soybeans have a diverse range of maturities and pedigrees in order to provide high yield potential across a wide spectrum of soil types, climate, and disease pressure.
D&PL’s breeding efforts continue to expand. Our basic concept is to develop the very best conventional lines possible. After confirming the agronomic viability of a conventional variety, we add traits that confer resistance to broad spectrum herbicides such as glyphosate and/or the sulfonylurea class of chemistry.
By adhering to a rigorous testing and evaluation process, both before and after the insertion of herbicide resistant traits, only the most promising agronomic lines are brought to market as D&PL-brand Roundup Ready soybeans.
